JAMES E. KEENAN
President

Mr. James E. Keenan founded Brentwood International (BI)  in 1981 and he has served as President since the firm’s creation.  Mr. Keenan has over 25 years of diversified business experience as both a human resources executive and as an independ­ent business consul­tant.  He has developed and managed executive, profess­ion­al and diversity recruiting programs for several Fortune 500 corporations.

Prior to founding Brentwood International, Mr. Keenan served for two years as Vice President and Partner – Technology Practice with Korn Ferry Inter­national.  His personal executive placement record was the highest in the firm. Previously, Mr. Keenan served concurrently as Vice President, Citicorp, and Director, Human Resources for Transaction Technology, Inc. (TTI), a wholly owned high technology, Citicorp subsidiary.

Mr. Keenan also held the position of Industrial Relations Director, Western Regional Operations, Arnold/Orowheat Company, Greenwich, Connecticut.  Additionally he served as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff for the Systems Development Corporation. 

Mr. Keenan has conducted executive search assignments and consulted to numerous higher education, consumer products, high technology and financial services organizations.  Representative clients have include:  Rochester Institute of Technology, Pepperdine University,  Citicorp,  Kodak, Boeing Corporation, Security Pacific Automation, Disney Consumer Products, Universal Studios, Norwest Technical Services, Rainier Bank, TRW, Bergen Brunswig, Hughes Data Systems, HITC, Ortel Communications Corporation, Aaron Bros., ITW,  Litton Industri­es, Raytheon, General ­­Dynamics, Hughes Aircraft Company, Aerospace­ Communi­cations,  Aerojet General, Xerox, Sony, etc.


Mr. Keenan graduated with honors from California University, Northridge where he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, minoring in Mechanical Engineering.  He has completed graduate work at USC and UCLA in Computer Science and serves as frequ­ent lecturer for the Graduate School of Business at Pepperdine University.
